He was barely thirty years old when he became president of the Bunker Hill and Sullivan Mining Company in the Coeur d’Alene district of Idaho. With other mining interests in Mexico, Nevada, and Alaska, he was a rich man by 1900, when he became consulting engineer at Treadwell mines. Bradley knew mining and he knew finance.
Dawson, a town that mushroomed at the mouth of the Yukon and Klondike rivers—the center of the Klondike bonanza—went from bleak to boom to bust in a little over three years.
