While the children waited anxiously for the final results they prepared the next stage of their muginsulation designs. Under the teacher’s guidance the children came to realise that measuring and recording temperatures ‘by hand’ over the course of an hour would have been tedious and impractical; it would also have introduced a range of possible errors. The automatic sensing equipment detected the temperature faithfully and automatically every two minutes. The data-logging software produce a range of line graphs which made the results clear.
